The Xmas rush at No 2 Oak Street saw Michael and Shani Urquhart centre stage in our own fine dining restaurant. After a lifetime of foodie training the son and daughter have filled their parents shoes in a time of need.
In early December Toni fell and broke her femur leaving her wheel chair bound.

No 2 Oak Street have starred in the SMH Good Food Guide for 11 years now.
- They have maintained their Chef's Hat for the last 7 years in a row.
- They currently have a score of 15.5 – that’s .5 off 2 hats!!
- They also have a wine goblet - this symbol signifies 'a particularly good wine list'
- Only 3 restaurants on the North Coast and New England have this accolade ie a chef's HAT and a GOBLET - 'Oak Street' in Bellingen, 'Fins' at Kingscliff and 'Satiate' in Bangalow.
- These last 2 years has been their most challenging - Toni was diagnosed with and fought breast cancer and broke her hip and they sustained blows from multiple floods - one taking out their freezer and coolroom losing thousands of dollars in meat!
